Margie Cooper Antiques

margie_editMargie Cooper is an Antiques Dealer from Prestbury, Cheshire. Born in Lancashire and educated at Queen Mary School, Lytham St. Annes.

After an initial career as a Fashion Model, she studied journalism, acquired an interest in antiques from her Grandmother which became a passion, and in the 1980’s opened her own business specialising in Silver and English furniture.

She is a member of the team of experts on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, often undertaking  the Furniture Round which is the vital research week prior to the Recording Day.  She has appeared on many antiques programmes which include Granada’s Lunchtime Live programme, and the  BBC’s Going for a Song hosted by Michael Parkinson.

On the Home front there is husband Terry, two married daughters,  Suzannah and Emma and three little grandsons.
